Independent Medical Evaluations (IME)
ConsultMedical offers IME services to managed care organizations — but this is not the traditional IME. Our approach is built on functional assessment rather than diagnostic classification, using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) established by the World Health Organization. This matters because diagnosis alone does not predict medical necessity, service needs, or functional outcomes. We provide the objective, validated data your organization needs to make sound benefit decisions — especially in Medicaid LTC waiver programs and Medicare Advantage Special Need Plans.
