Frequently Asked Questions

FIT & WHO WE SERVE

Any managed care organization, healthcare organization, practice, or delivery system can engage our services. Our client base spans managed care organizations, Medicare Advantage and Special Needs Plans, state managed Medicaid care, acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, ACOs, group practices of every size, home health agencies, and pharma. If your business touches healthcare — and especially government-contracted healthcare — we likely have direct experience in your world. We serve clients nationwide from our base in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

We’re honest about this: not every organization is a fit for our brand of consultation. We seek clients who are open, engaged, motivated, and ready to work side by side with us — because our model is collaborative co-development, not drop-a-report-and-leave consulting. If you’re looking for a partner that helps your team win rather than a vendor selling deliverables, we’ll work well together. If a project isn’t in our wheelhouse, we’ll tell you upfront and refer you to someone who can help.

Government programs are our deepest specialty — Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, SNPs, and all 1915(c) and 1115 waiver programs — but our service bandwidth is much broader. We work across strategy and growth, operations, digital transformation, talent and learning, and risk and compliance. Many clients come to us for government program expertise and stay for the full advisory relationship.

Our team of 750+ advisors includes physicians, nurses, data scientists, strategists, and digital architects with unrivaled healthcare experience. We match advisors to your engagement based on your sector, challenge, and goals — so the people at the table have done this work before, in organizations like yours. You won’t be handed off to generalists.

PROCESS & TIMELINES

Every engagement follows our proven five-phase process: initial contact, discovery discussion, scope negotiation, implementation, and evaluation. After you reach out, we’ll schedule a discovery conversation to understand your goals, challenges, and constraints — no pitch, no pressure. From there, we jointly define scope before any work begins, so you know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs.

Our frameworks and change management approach are built to deliver measurable results in weeks and months — not years. Exact timelines depend on scope: a focused operational assessment moves faster than an enterprise digital transformation. During scope negotiation, we’ll define clear milestones and success metrics together so progress is visible from the start.

Our unbiased assessment-to-evaluation-to-recognition process is designed to identify hidden problems that are in plain sight but go unnoticed — challenges you may not recognize as problems until they become crises. Because we’re a contracted third-party advisor with no internal politics or legacy assumptions, we can look at your organization objectively. Clients consistently tell us this outside perspective is a key competitive advantage.

ENGAGEMENT & PRICING

We offer flexible engagement models: hourly arrangements, statement-of-work (SOW) projects, and adaptable project plans tailored to your situation and budget. Pricing is defined during scope negotiation, before implementation begins — no surprises mid-engagement. We’ll always recommend the structure that fits your needs, not the one that maximizes our billing.

Yes — every engagement begins with a Non-disclosure Agreement, before we discuss any sensitive details of your business. Confidentiality is foundational to how we work, particularly given the regulatory and competitive sensitivities in government healthcare programs. You can speak freely from the first discovery conversation.

Absolutely — many client relationships begin with a focused assessment or a single-issue engagement. Our flexible model means you can engage us hourly or on a tightly scoped SOW, see how we work, and expand from there if it makes sense. We’d rather earn a long-term relationship through results than lock you into a large commitment upfront.
